1857 (February 12th) envelope from Wrexham to Havana initially charged as Ordinary mail and by cheapest route (2A) via New York at 1s.2 1/2d. per 1/2 oz. Sender wanted speed (endorsed Per Steamer) hence British Packet rate (West Indies Line) of 2s.3d. per 1/2oz. Sent registered with seldom seen Wrexham (CROWN)/REGISTERED handstamp.
