The Paper Trials were printed by Seymour Bennett Head of the Stamping Department in December 1911 during the production of the die 2 stamps (plates 6a and 8a were used).These Trials were printed on no watermark paper and imperf. 6 sheets printed in the original red used on the 1st and 2nd master plates and numbered 68 to 73 in top right hands corner.
