1901 (20 March) Indenture documenting the granting of land in the eastern district of New Providence by Joseph Charles Musgrove a jeweller to Henderson Fergusson Butler a merchant bearing 1/- blue-green (2) and 1884 6d. (with malformed E). This was executed in Nassau and is countersigned by Robert Stewart Johnstone Circuit Magistrate for Bahamas (later to become Acting Attorney General for 1902) It is Stated that Less than ten examples survive today of such legal documents with Bahamas stamps used for revenue
