Post Office 1882 Essay for Concessionary Post Card on Thin Buff Card

To obtain the concession of cheap postal rates the post card had to be the ones issued by the Post Office or Stamped to Order Postcards. Ordinary Postcards with adhesives attached could not be posted at the concessionary 1/2d rate. This essay was produced in 1882 with a certifying stamp indicating that it could be used and postage prepaid using adhesive stamps at the concessionary 1/2d rate. Unfortunately the experiment failed.
