Official. 1944-50 Set 20A (= 1944 issue) 1 1/2d yellow-buff and deep slate-green (SUID-AFRIKA hyphenated medium format) SG type O2 opt (14.5mm spacing) WITH DIAERESES lower marginal block of 4 from R11-12/6-7 of the setting showing variety raised OFFICIAL on lower left stamp (R12/6) and Cyclometer number 6570 large part o.g. (lower pair unmounted). Traces of toning (and upper pair with gum disturbance from hinge removal) still fine appearance. A very rare and important positional multiple for the specialist the lowest of the three sheet numbers referenced by Hisey and Matheson p.66 (the others being 6571 and 6575). Ex Matheson.
