South Africa Transvaal Wolmaransstad 1900 (23 MAY) cover self-addressed by Thos. S. Leask with Transvaal 1895 1d red Penny Postage and 1896-97 1/2d and 1d tied by two fine to very fine strikes of WOLMARANSSTAD/Z.A.R. circular date stamps (another strike at left) on the date of the last post out of the town before the British Occupation. An interesting piece of Boer War postal history. These three values were to be issued with provisional Cancelled V.R.I. handstamps a month later.
