1568 Elizabethan Royal Messengers order for the payment for Letter Delivery

Elizabethan Royal Messengers 1568 order for the payment of Philip Conway One of the ordenary of the Quenes Maties for carrying a letter from London into Bedfordshire to my Lord St. John of Bletsoe then to Northamptonshire to Sir John Spencer and from there delivering a letter into Lincolnshire to Lord Sheffield stating the cost of delivery at 2/8d. a day over a twenty-four day period which will be borne by Sir William Killigrew Groom of the Prviy Chamber to Queen Elizabeth. Letter paper fine with non-contemporary inscription on reverse alongside contemporary address panel. A rare and particularly early Royal Messenger order.
