Great Britain 1737 Government Penny Post. Entire (professionally re-backed with tissue) to Woolwich Dockyard with blurred but legible impression of Government Dockwra (not recorded by Prof. Jay). Type 3b (PENY on the left) but with H/TU in centre. Entire is dated with the unusual 14 Mar 1736 7 which is a good example of the use of the Julian Calendar. SUPERB AND SCARCE discovery from Hermitage Office.
