Antigua SG22var 2 1/2d wmk CA (R1/1) Duty plate severely misplaced to right

1882 2 1/2 d red-brown wmk CA from R1/1 of a pane showing duty plate severely misplaced to right and freak misperforation the first strike of the comb having been placed too high large part o.g. The stamp is 26mm high instead of the normal 24.5 mm and partially imperforate at the bottom of the vertical sides. Trivial soiling and creasing but a spectacular and most remarkable stamp representing a very rare lapse from grace by De La Rue who prided themselves on the highest standards of production and quality control.
