The first printing was made in 1958. On the reverse of part of this sheet is a note made by Forster. Handmade paper with phosphor in the pulp. Made in 1958 by CF Forster in the laboratories at Dollis Hill. During printing it slipped on the roll and was partly obscured by another trial piece and only a few stamp impressions were printed around the edge. It was not considered worth perforating. Hence the few examples are imperfect and have no watermark. The piece is also endorsed on the reverse side accidently missed. There are parts of 11 stamps.
