Queensland 1874 1/- Proof in Purple No wmk Perf 13 SCARCE (part gum)

This is a proof from the 1873/74 period when the Truncated Star watermark was being superseded by the re-issue of stamps on Crown Q paper. This was associated with the change in colour from greenish grey to mauve.
