Bechuanaland SG73/82s R/Cypher Set (no 1 1/2d) Opt Specimen U/M RARE

Bechuanaland 1913-24 original set of 8 to 1/- (lacking the 1 1/2d which was issued later) watermark Simple Cypher overprinted SPECIMEN (type GB23 SG73/82s. Very fine and fresh set unmounted mint with full original gum. 1/2d Creased otherwise fine and fresh. A rare set the 1/2d to 6d not distributed by the UPU. With less than a single pane (120 stamps) of each value released by the BPMA. Although this set originated from Stanley Gibbons when in blocks of four (the SG card is Not included with this lot) they only list the 1/- value as is was also distributed by the UPU.
